Rebecca is a partner in the law firm of BRUCE & BRUCE. As a practicing attorney with BRUCE & BRUCE, Rebecca represents parties in adoption when they retain Rebecca to help with an "identified" situation. For example, she often represents adoptive parents who come to her with a child in mind to adopt. That child might be born or expected to be born in the future (i.e., a step child, relative, or other known child, or the child might be due to be born to an expectant parent that has already selected the adoptive parents to parent the child).

BRUCE & BRUCE does not have a program for waiting adoptive families. In other words, within Rebecca's law firm, she does not offer a "matching service" to help adoptive parents find a either a child or expectant parents looking for adoptive parents.

Given that Rebecca in her law practice has chosen not to do a lot of "advertising" or "marketing" to expectant mothers, Rebecca is able to offer adoptive parents who retain her services for an "identified adoption" a more affordable legal fee than she otherwise would be able to do.

If an expectant mother contacts us and wishes for us to represent her in a private adoption (i.e, the expectant mother does not wish to work with an adoption agnecy). Then Rebecca may agree to represent her as a client but not the adoptive family that she ultimately selects. Rebecca then serves as her advocate in the process, offering adoption counseling services, assisting her in picking an appropriate, loving family (one that we do not represent), making sure that her needs are met, legally advising her, preparing legal documents, being a support person throughout the process and beyond. As you can see, our role encompasses much more than the typical attorney/client relationship. As an expectant mother is selecting a family, we typically will present her families from a variety of sources as long as there is not a conflict of interest. The expectant mother picks the adoptive family, not us.

If you are an expectant mother considering making an adoption plan or an adoptive family, please feel free to contact us for more information at (765) 286-1776, Toll free 866-30ADOPT (866-302-3678), via email at RebeccaSBruce@aol.com, or via Rebecca's cell phone (765) 702-3857.

If you are an adoptive parent needing legal representation in an identified adoption situation (whether it be a step-parent adoption, an adoption of an infant, a relative adoption, a "re-adoption", an interstate adoption, an agency-assisted adoption, etc.), feel free to contact us by phone (765) 286-1776 or by email at RebeccaSBruce@aol.com.

If you are an adoptive parent interested in learning about matching services that Rebecca is associated with but within a different business (not within BRUCE & BRUCE), you may wish to visit www.adoption-connections.com for more information.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made ... All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Psalm 139:13-14, 16
